- In the 2015 election out of 535 registered candidates there were
170 women, for 135 constituencies (7).
- "To witness such an
outstanding event, CEC of Uzbekistan registered more
than 300 observers from almost 40 countries including
Pakistan. This multiparty system of country was meant
to formulate and execute the foundation of democratic
principles within the country hence increasing citizen’s
voices at the decision making bodies" (7).
- "Over 350 representatives
of the national and foreign media outlets also took part in
covering the elections, [...] Along with [...] observers from five international and
regional organizations including Shanghai Cooperation
Organization (SCO), Organization of Islamic Cooperation

- In order to address the environmental issues facing Uzbekistan, the constitutional reforms initiated in 2008 by Islom Karimov created the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan and allocated 15 permanent seats to its deputies in the lower house (8).
- The government provided areas for babies and toddlers to be cared for at the polling stations. Medical supplies and personnel were also on hand in each of the stations (8).
